Patsy Reeve Scholarship Fund

Over the last three years, we been able to give scholarships to 8 students that are amazing people that needed some financial help. This year, we will be able to give away 8 more scholarships!! We have been able to carry on our mom’s passion for helping her students. Patsy was an amazing person. She was a mother of four and nana to nine grandkids. Patsy loved her family more than anything and was a stay at home mom for a good majority of her life. As her kids grew older, she was finally able to achieve a career of her own. Patsy got a job at ASU West. Throughout these years at ASU, Patsy found a niche planning programs and working with student workers. She loved her job, but mostly, she loved working with students and helping them get through their college years. There are many students that have been affected by Patsy, and we know that she wished she could have done more for many of her students financially. There were many times when Patsy mentioned she wished she could get more money for her students in order to help them.

Patsy’s love for her students is why this scholarship fund was set up in her name. It is a team effort amongst her personal family and her ASU family. Patsy was our mom… an amazing mom and person. She was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer about four years ago and battled it heroically. Unfortunately, the cancer eventually won the battle and our mom passed away on Dec. 18, 2013. She was still young and had a lot of life a head of her. We want to keep our mom’s legacy moving forward and do what she loved doing….helping students and giving them a helping hand. We hope to be able to give these scholarships for many years to come, and we know mom would be so happy that we are all coming together to do this.

Camp Patrick

This year, we are excited to announce that we will be helping fund a summer camp for kids with Spina Bifida called Camp Patrick. Next summer will be the first year of the camp and the dates are July 1-6. Camp Patrick is a week long overnight camp and completely free for kids with Spina Bifida here in AZ. The camp will be run by volunteers only so that means that all of the money will go towards renting the facility and the cost of sending kids to camp. Camp Patrick will be at Whispering Hope Ranch up on the rim of Arizona just past Payson. It’s a beautiful facility and completely wheelchair accessible. Camp Patrick was named after one of Patsy’s grandkids, Patrick, who is an amazing little boy with Spina Bifida. After finding out that there was no camp for children with Spina Bifida here in AZ, we knew that our mom would be so happy that her foundation would be able to fund Camp Patrick for her grandson and other kids just like Patrick. It cost about $750 for one kid with Spina Bifida to attend camp for the week, and it is free for all the kids. So needless to say it is not cheap!! Check out to learn more about Camp Patrick and how you can help.
